Monthly Themes - August winner and Closing Update-

I really wanted to do this with Cavitto as well, so we will likely have similar themes and prizes to make it easier for my brain I've copy-pasted the rules etc over here from there so let me know if I missed something!

Hello all! A while ago I had a poll up asking some questions and getting some amazing feedback on things we could do as a group and Monthly Themes was one of the suggestions! I thought it was a great suggestion and so we're going to go ahead and give it a shot this year to see how it goes. If you have questions, please ask!

I'm going to try and use this same journal for all 12 months of the year, but if it starts getting too messy or long I may split it up. The current month will always be at the top of the list. So if we're in April, it will read April, THEN January and Feburary. When the month is complete, it will be moved to its proper place in the year and the current month will take its place.

Rules:

These will apply to EVERY month.

Your image absolutely must show the theme in a way that is obvious and doesn't confuse the living daylights out of your admin team! If we're looking at it upside and sideways or have to read a very long description about why your image fits, it's not clear enough and will not win.

Let's get the judging info out of the way! We will be choosing winners based on a little bit of random and what we like. Since this will be running every month, unfortunately it's just too much work to judge on effort every time as that entails going through everyone's gallery and ultimately takes up a lot more time. This way, everyone has a chance because you could blow us away with any number of things! And it won't take so long. So please keep this in mind when entering and be happy for the winners even if you feel your piece was better in some way.

You may do collabs with friends, but it's up to YOU to decide how the prizes are split between you!

You can enter no more than twice with as many horses as you like in one image. However keep in mind that big sheets of sketches are not going to be considered.

Remember that this is a community event more for fun than MUST WIN EVERYTHING RAHH competition--save that for the big shows! Be nice even if you feel someone else should have won.

Tracing allowed, though not encouraged. Proper credit must be given (Google is not a stock provider!) or your entry will be disqualified.

The new month & its theme will be posted between the 1st and the 5th and end on the last day of the month at midnight. No other entries will be accepted after that time.

Prizes

We will have a rolling/changing prize pool each month. This means you could win any number of the things below, along with a feature on our front page! Make sure to check under the month heading to see what prizes are available for that particular challenge.

Prizes could include any of the following:
- Group horse slots (Natural)
- Group horse slots (Anomaly)
- Points
- Premium Memberships
- Semi-customs
- Extra Veratis
- Additional breeding slots (to non-anomalies only)
- Additional breeding slots (allowed to be applied to anomalies)

And remember, you will always get a feature no matter what the additional prize!

Monthly Themes Update

There will be no more Monthly Themes for now. We do have other fun stuff prepared for our lovely members to participate in, so look forward to that
It's possible these will be back next year, depending on the group schedules, but they're now officially closed.
