Description

Sheet has been updated with new anomalies and updated lineart, done by our very own *sVa-BinaryStar  Information has been added as well.

____

Just when you thought you were done seeing Cavitto sheets...A WILD ANOMALY SHEET APPEARS.

CLOUD USES STICK.
IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE.
CUZ STICKS ARE GREAT.

Anyway. These are the rare mutations for my darling Cavittos, though I'm calling them anomalies just to be a tad different. A tad, I say, a tad. There might be more in the future but for right now, this is it! Huge file warning :XD: I spent most of the day on this and I'm ridiculously proud of the line art. :meow: So, from top to bottom....

:bulletblue: Fallen Stardust Anomaly - Class: Rare
Genotypes: FlsFls OR nFls

When Zeus threw them down from heaven, it took quite a bit of magic to do so. Some of that sprinkled down on the backs of these Cavitto, dragging down more than a few stars with it. The magic stuck to their backs and the stars clung to their hair; neither could be shaken off again. It was discovered soon after that the sparkling magic blanket and even the stars were passed down to their foals.

Things to note: Stars hang in their hair and run along the top-line. They thin out toward the horse's knees, if they even get that far. You will NOT see stars/sparkles below the knees. Glitter can be any color and usually only falls where the stars do, i.e it's not often found on the legs. Stars are always present. Glitter may be minimal but never lacking.

:bulletpurple: God's Alune Anomaly - Class: Rare
Genotypes: SlnSln OR nSln

It's a long way to fall from heaven, you know! More than one god and goddess tried to catch them. All failed, but where there fingers had touched, magic bloomed. Wherever their fingers had trailed over a Cavitto's coat, sparkling stripes appeared instead. They generally show no less than 2 stripes but no more than 5. Again, this mutation passes to foals and is the only way you can get it aside from the starters themselves.

Things to note: The stripes can be just about any color. However, there is never more than two colors PER stripe. A purple stripe may fade to blue at the end, but it will not start purple, fade blue, then turn green. No more than 3 colors total. Stripes may be angular as free-falling through the air can happen at any angle, but cannot have odd zig-zag patterns.

:bulletblue: Birds of Paradise Anomaly - Class: Rare
Genotypes: Bdfbdf OR nBdf

When it became obvious that they were going to land on earth whether they liked it or not, the observant avians of the world flew to the aid of some. The magic surrounding the Cavitto swept up the birds as well, and though they landed without harm, they also sprouted colorful feathers down their neck, back, and some even on the rump. Longer feathers grew from their tails and even their hair changed color to match (though in streaks). This, too, is passed on to foals.

Things to note: Generally feather colors range from one to four. Four is ONLY ever seen on those carrying a DOMINANT gene of this anomaly. Otherwise, three and below. Feathers sprout mostly from the top-line, though they do not cluster heavily on the face. Similar to the Stardust Anomaly, feathers are never found below the knees. While the longer feathers may be found around the top of the forelock, base of the mane, and top of the tail, they do not extend beyond those points.

:bulletblue: Aurora Borealis Anomaly - Class: Rare
Genotypes: AurAur OR nAur

When they fell, it wasn't a neat or orderly affair. They were scattered, thrown to the winds and skies like so many dandelion seeds. For some, the light of the Aurora Borealis bathed their coats. It wrapped around them, slowing their fall with Nothing but magic and stars, glowing streams of light that were somehow tinged with regret. By the time they stumbled to their hooves, the aurora was gone from the sky. They noticed a change. It shimmered on their coats instead. Even the little stars that were normally washed out by the aurora’s bright lights had stuck to their hides, which had taken on the dark black and blue of the sky itself. The dark coats and glimmering aurora refused to wash off, and as they soon found, passed down to their foals.

Things to Note: This Anomaly covers base coat. Breeding only passes black and silver, there is no other base coat underneath, ALWAYS EE/aa/ZZ or nZ. Silver/white eyes, stars only fall in the "sky" area (blue coat).
Aurora can only be real aurora colors. Blue/pink/purple/green/orange/red. Only one aurora, can be small or large, generally runs across the body, never vertically. Coat can be dark blue OR black.

:bulletblue: Skyfire Anomaly - Class: Rare
Genotypes: SyfiSyfi OR nSyifi

As the Cavitto falls through the sky, the clouds cry for their decent from paradise to earth and try to make the fall as comfy and pleasant as possible. The Cavitto that are graced by cloud coverage have a coat color that is similar to the sky they fell through when they were cast out of Olympia. If it was a fiery lit sunset, their coat would take on those colors, if it was a bright blue day with big white puffy clouds, their coat would look like such.

Things to Note: The colors only appear on the part of the body that was falling first. So if a horse was falling feet first, the sky colors would only show up on it's legs and fade as it moved up it's body. If the horse fell head first, the markings would be on it's head and fade up the neck, ect. Also, the eyes and hooves match some color in the Skyfire. Another aspect of Skyfire is soft looking cloud like vapor streaming from the long hairs on it's body. Typically it's seen on the feathers on the legs but it can possibly come from the mane and tail. Stars may present on the coat (night time) but may NOT be as extensive or visible as the Stardust Anomaly.

If a horses decent was truly slowed by the magic in the clouds then more of the body will have absorbed the color pigment and their body could be more heavily covered. It is rare for a horse to be more than 50% colored. If a horses body was slowed to the point where their whole body absorbed the sky's colors then that horse is 100% infertile do to its DNA strands being effected by the magic. Note to Breeder: Any foal manifesting the Skyfire gene will be rolled for whether or not it is 100% covered and therefore infertile. You will still have your second option geno's, but please keep in mind if you choose 100% covered, the foal can never be bred.

:faint: So. Here are your anomalies for the #Cavitto breed. No more will be added to this sheet, if there are ever additional anomalies they can have their own sheet. This one is huge as it is. xD

Curious about how they react together? Read this: [link]

So due to the Aurora Borealis anomaly existing, I would imagine that means that you couldn't have a Skyfire with hints of green? As (as far as my research has shown) you only get truly green skies via the aurora phenomenon.

My question is: Provided it is clear that the Cavitto has the Skyfire mutation, would hints of green be permissible? (With the main colouration being blue/teal/cyan)
